Proud Mom Kathy in GA, has her Angel, Joiner and he is
8 years old & in 3rd grade, ADHD, Bipolar DX, and has disgraphia & severe sensory problems. He takes Seroquel, Depakote
and Adderall. He loves to make paper air planes & wants to be an aeronautical engineer when he grows up. He loves
to ride his bike & scooter, and is on a wrestling team.

Very proud Mom, Torrey has a lot to say about her son, Nick. Nick is going to
be 13 on Valentine's Day. He is in the 7th grade. He was recently diagnosed with Bipolar, Oppositional Defiant
Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Trichotillomania (pulling/tweezing hair). He currently
takes Depakote ER 1500 mg, Abilify 10 mg, Cogentin 0.5, Risperdal 1 mg and Seroquel 25mg . Talon
is 7 and in the first grade. Talon is going to be screened for any problems. It is thought that he may have Aspergers.
Nick and Talon also have a little brother, age 3 named - Drake. :)
Nick's favorite activities include riding his bike,
playing strategic games (internet and board games) and collecting Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic cards. He has a
collection of dragons, loves Sci-Fi and astronomy. He used to play football and the violin so we hope he will pick up
those activities in the near future. He is brilliant in math and loves science. He has a girlfriend named Rachel
that he's been talking to daily! He's a clown and loves to make people laugh. He loves to travel, go camping,
fishing and hiking. His favorite gadgets are his GameCube, Playstation 2 and his Gameboy Advance. He is very computer
literate and loves to tinker with the innards of a computer system.
Kathleen in Illinois would like you to meet Danny who is 7 years old and has ADHD and Bipolar
Disorder. Danny loves bowling, dirt bike riding , baseball and gymnastics! A well rounded fellow! Danny is currently
in the hospital being evaluated on his condition. Prayers go out to Danny. :)
 Donna's son - John is 10 yrs old & in the 4th grade. He
started speech therapy when he was 2 yrs old and continues to receive it now. When he was 6 the school told us he was severly
dyslexic, he has also been dx'd with APD, ODD, ADD, SID and depression. Possible Bipolar dx is being evaluated. Each
day in school is a struggle that leaves him physically & mentally exhausted. John
is a huge animal lover and reminds me much of Dr. Doolittle as Donna had described. Animals are naturally drawn to John.
He can go up to almost any animal and they take to him immediatly. He can spend hours watching Animal Planet & soak
up every single thing he hears and repeat it almost verbatim. At present, John and family have 2 cokatiels, Fred
and Ethel and she has already laid 3 fertile eggs and an 8 year old rottie named Lucy, 6 turtles with various Star Wars character
names. Wow John!
Christine's son, Travis who is 11 years old. His dx is Bipolar Disorder and ADHD. Travis
has done something quite remarkable for not only someone who has these disorders but for his AGE.
Travis does public speaking for Bipolar Disorder to educate people. In particular - Teachers!
What a wonderful gift this young man has!
Travis writes poems. Please stop by our poem/song page to see his work. He is a remarkable
young man.
Karen's son Billy, is 9 yrs old. He has ADHD and Bi-Polar. He also has
some behaviors that could be identified as Asperger's Syndrome (High functioning autism). He is doing well
academically and has just arrived at the point of being sent out of the ED classroom into a regular classroom. This
will be a very very slow process. Karen says he will have to prove himself every step of the way. He is on lithium,
depakote, concerta and a new drug called seroquel.
Billy is raising breeding rabbits for 4-H and he is waiting for 4-H Camp. He loves Harry Potter, and he
enjoys reading "Wishbone" books.
Taylor is 9 years old and will be entering tha 3rd grade this year. Taylors
DX is ADHD and Severe BIpolar Disorder. Meds are: Rispredal and Concerta. Taylor enjoys the following: Riding
bikes, roller blading, computers and helping disabled kids! That is wonderful Taylor!
Christian is 8 years old and will also be entering tha 3rd grade this year. His DX is ADHD.
HIs medication is Ritalin. Christian enjoys palying cars, playing in his sand box, talking to people, riding bikes and
playing games on his computer!!
Donald Wayne is nine years old, goes to Harlan elementary in Harlan County, KY. has
ADHD a very smart child with alot of love he is taking Straterra for his illness on top of his ADHD he has chronic Asthma
as well.

Kendra is 12 years old & in the 7th grade.
She is currently homeschooled. She has ADHD/Bipolar. The ADHD was dx when when she was 5 the Bipolar, when she was 10.
Her current meds are: Adderall XR 60mg, Clonidine 0.1mg, Trileptal 120mg, Trazadone 50mg, Lamictal 25mg (working towards an
increase to 100mg over the next 4 weeks.)
Kendra's interest include: computers, watching tv, listening to music, and riding
her horse Sunny. Which was her Christmas present.
